Trackbacks

Trackbacks are an original project and closed species by Aquamarine13YT, originally conceptualized by JayQuill Creations in 2019. They are fantastical draconic renditions of rollercoasters found in real life and invented by independent artists of the community.

Classification Guidebook

Due to the incredible variety the species holds, sorting members of the species into classes is no easy feat. Timewarp spends countless hours tracking and sorting classes based on shared traits, abilities, and rarity, although the system itself still has cheats. The three main categories are common, uncommon, and rare. They hold numerous subcategories that will be broken down below.

Common

Six classifications (also known as models) form the most well-known variety of Trackbacks. They can be found nearly everywhere across the Isles of Creation and Damnation each with individual features over more basic models.

Hyper Class

Hyper class is essentially the standard Trackback model: four legs, two wings, one head and one tail and track that can come in a variety of shapes. They range between 100 feet to 200 feet tall, sometimes hanging below or above that mark but no greater than 295 feet tall. Their fire breath ranges in any colour except greyscale.

Dive Class

Dive class Trackbacks are most famous for their sharp 90-degree dives and quick reaction time, twisting into breathtaking inversions. They have sharp falconoid wings and plateau crests for the ultimate streamlined diving experience. These tumbling tricksters are seen leaping off the edges of cliffs with utmost fearlessness.

Kiddie Class

Kiddie class Trackbacks are the smallest of small, incapable of breathing more than a few sparks. They stay in the double digits in terms of height, sometimes even the size of an average dragon in the single digits. They have flat-styled tracks and a distinct spiral wing pattern and stiff wing fingers built for gliding like a kite.

Inverted Class

Inverted Trackbacks look nearly identical to their hyper cousins, but their tracked tails are inverted, meaning they are flipped. They also have tracked segments on the inside of their bodies just as they do on the outside, meaning they can perform complex inversions, flying upside down, all while keeping their gaze stable like a hawk.

Wooden Class

Wooden Trackbacks are a big, burly class, often covered partially or wholly in fur with small wooden splinters through them. They are also the oldest known class. Their complex track structures have little to no steel, with the exception of hybrid wooden and hyper models. Hybrids are the only ones capable of fire breath.

Looping Class

Looping class Trackbacks may lack in size (from double digits to the mid 100s in feet) but they make up for it in endurance. They can handle some of the highest amounts of consecutive positive G forces in the tightest inversions. They have the swirliest horns and their tails rest in a corkscrew or double vertical loop style.
